1987 ////////2009
Picture A: 1987-Campbell is dressed as "Chanel's Christmas principal boy" for her first Vogue cover and picture B the Louis Vuitton’s 2009 spring collection.
Both pictures have swept high hair, very short skirts (a major return for spring) and enormous jewels.
1959///////1990///// /////2009
1959 "Designed by Emilio Pucci”
1990 Gianni Versace's jumpsuit
2009 Catwalk: shown on New York, London and Milan fashion week, there've been dozens jumpsuits of all-in-one styles from a wide-reaching sphere of designers.
1946///// 2003////// 2007
1946- An issue with the sexiest summer sunglasses and yes they are still in fashion.
2003 Designers such us Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez and Givenchy serve up a juicy palette of colours to make mouths water for the season.
2007 With rising superstar model Agyness Deyn on the cover.
High waisted trousers
When high-waisted trousers were lauded a few seasons ago, we were skeptical. They seemed a bit gimmicky and too difficult for most of us. But this season, high-waisted trousers are back from 1943 to power women.
The 1957 picture with the purple coat, dress and accessories reminds me of the Luella Spring/Summer 2009 collection during London Fashion week.
The Greek Goodness trend first emerged on the Vogue cover in 1988 with the model Stephanie Seymour.
2009: A feminine draped dresses in the style of Grecian goddess from the runway. The draped, asymmetrical Greek goddess look dominated, complementing the one-shoulder styles that have been so popular on the runways.
