Most people believe that Valentine's Day is the most romantic day of the year.William Shakespeare has described love in the most beautiful manner by saying

"As sweet and musical as bright Apollo's lute, strung with his hair; and when Love speaks, the voice of all the gods, makes heaven drowsy with the harmony."

Here are some Valentines ideas that will help you find answer to questions like what to do and don’t on Valentine's Day.

What a guy really thinks about Valentine's Day

I am not expecting to find my perfect life partner because no one will ever be able to say: "I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you."-R. Croft.

It's a well-known fact that men and women do think differently and women will never truly understand their thoughts or think from their point of view.

This article shows you what men really think about Valentine’s Day and what’s on their minds. Well the theory goes like that “vulnerable, single women are driven to bars and to consequence-free sex by the spectacle of other women parading their well-trained boyfriends around”...

1. “I love Valentine’s Day! Being able to surprise and excite her and getting rewarded for it afterward—if you know what I mean—makes it one of the best days of the year.”

2. “It’s a silly holiday, but I think it exists because the greeting card/jewelry/confection/flower companies know they can exploit men one day a year and get away with it—because men don’t know how to be romantic the other 364 days.”

Γνωρίζω αρκετά καλά ότι the VALENTINE'S Day είναι η πιο ρομαντική μέρα του χρόνου, γεμάτη απο αγάπη και έρωτα. Είναι η μέρα που εξαφανίζει όλα τα διαβολικά συναισθήματα που τρέφουμε προς τον συνάνθρωπο μας και είναι ο εορτασμός που κάνει όλα τα μοναχικά άτομα να νίωθουν εγκαταλειμμένοι απο τον Θεό του έρωτα.

Προσωπικά έχω κουραστεί να βλέπω καταστήματα που είναι στολισμένα με αυτές τις διακοσμητικά απαίσιες κόκκινες κάρτες, οι οποίες παρεπιπτώντος στέλνουν φτηνά, άστοχα και unromantic μηνύματα. Ακόμη και τα εσώρουχα με καρδιούλες άλλα ρόζ ή κόκκινα τα οποία γράφουν “I Love You” μου φέρνουν στην θύμιση μου τα χρόνια του δημοτικού. Btw hearts? For Valentine’s Day? Wow Ground breaking...

Ακόμη και οι σοκολάτες που βρίσκονται μέσα σε μεγάλα κουτία τα οποία περιλαμβάνουν ακόμη ένα πιο μεγάλο φιόγκο, έχουν μια απαίσια γεύση//-- μεταξύ Benylin και χαλασμένου κόκκινου ξηρού κρασιού. Μέχρι και τα μπουκέτα είναι τα ίδια με την περαμένη--// προ περασμένη χρονία. Το μόνο που αλλάζει είναι η τιμή.

Την συγκεκριμένη μέρα λατρεύω να βλέπω το ασθενές φύλο να τρέχει τελευταία στιγμή στα καταστήματα και στα ανθοπωλεία. Με ένταση, δισταγμό και αναποφασιστικότητα να μην μπορούν να διαλέξουν το κατάλληλο δώρο για τα αγαπημένα τους πρόσωπα.

Δεν τα λέω όλα αυτά επειδή είμαι κατά του Valentine’s Day ή επειδή θα είμαι single φέτος, άλλα επειδή τα πιστεύω και είναι η αλήθεια που δυστυχώς λίγοι μπορούν να αντικρίσουν γιατι οι υπόλοιποι έχουν τυφλοθεί απο τον χρυσό που ονομάζεται διαφημιστική καμπάνια .

Γνωρίζω πως υπάρχει αρκετή πίεση απο την κοινωνία στο να μην είμαστε μόνοι κτλ. Μέχρι στο Sex and the City or Bridget Jones βλέπουμε να καταλήγουν όλες μ’ένα άντρα στο τέλος. Ακόμη και οι διασημότητες του Hollywood βρίσκονται σε εγρήγορση για το πότε θα βρούν το έτερον ήμισυ τους και για να αποφύγουν tabloids- such as “single”.
And don't get me started on Madonna and Cameron Diaz!

Λοιπόν αυτή την χρονία θα έχω μια διαφορετική Valentine’s day και θα είναι μονάχα για μένα. Καμία ανησυχία για την αγορά των σωστών ή κατάλληλων χαζών εσωρούχων με τις ηλίθιες μικρές καρδιούλες στο ύφασμα και καμία προσποίηση ότι δήθεν λατρεύω τα σοκολατάκια.

Για το δικό μου Valentine’s day θα κάνω αυτό που κάνω καλύτερα, shopping, μπορεί και λίγο κολύμπι. Για την νύχτα θα έχω παρέα τις αγαπημένες μου σοκολάτες Ferrero Rocher και θα πίνω Caipirinhas μέχρι να έρθει η πτώση.
Το καλύτερο είναι ότι δεν θα με ξυπνήσει κανείς με το ροχαλητό του.
